Lavonous Byars is a contemporary acrylic artist whose work reflects a passion for creativity, faith, and human connection. Originally from Decatur, Illinois, and now based in Middle Tennessee, he has dedicated the last decade to mastering his craft and cultivating a bold artistic style. As a husband of 15 years and father of three, Lavonous believes art has the power to inspire, encourage, and bring communities together through authentic creative expression.
Artistic Journey & Experience
Lavonous' love for art began in his youth, inspired by the legendary Bob Ross. Over the years, that early spark grew into a lifelong dedication to creative expression.
Today, His work has been featured in:
- Exhibitions & Festivals: Galleries, art exhibits, and cultural events across Middle Tennessee area, including Boro Art Crawl, Greenway Art Festival, Simply Smyrna.
- Community Murals: Collaborative mural projects created alongside other local artists in the years of 2021, 2022, 2025

Working primarily in acrylic paint, spray paint, and often a blend of mixed media, Lavonous creates bold, expressive artwork inspired by the beauty of the Creator's creation and the depth of human experience. His work is influenced by:

Establishment
Established in late 2019, Lavonous Artistry expanded from online platform into a vibrant share studio space as of the summer of 2024, fostering artistic creativity and community connections in Smyrna, Tennessee.
